Dimitar Maslarov

Prof. Dr. Dimitar Maslarov is the head of the Neurology clinic at the First University Hospital “St. John the Baptist” – Sofia. He is the author and co-author of over 600 scientific papers, of which more than 250 have been published in specialized journals and collections. He is the author and co-author of more than 50 textbooks, manuals and teaching aids. He has more than 5700 citations and an h-index of 31. He is a member of the permanent Expert Council of the National Consultant in Neurology, member of 8 foreign and 10 Bulgarian scientific, creative and professional organizations. He represents Bulgaria in two Expert Panels of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN). He is the editor-in-chief or a member of the editorial boards of 7 Bulgarian and 1 foreign scientific journal. Prof. Maslarov is a member of the Presidium of the European Federation for Neurorehabilitation. He is the representative of Bulgaria in the European Stroke Organization and coordinator of the Stroke Action Plan 2018-2030. He is a member of the National Council on Pricing and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products. He was a representative of Bulgaria to the Council of the European Union in the Subgroup for Joint Scientific Consultations. He is the holder of the honorary sign of the Medical University – Sofia “Signum Laudis with Ribbon”. He is the holder of the Honorary Sign of the City of Haskovo. Honorary citizen of Velingrad. He has been included several times in the rankings “Doctors that Bulgarians trust” and “The best doctors in Bulgaria”.
