Gorana Mandić-Stojmenović, MD, PhD, was born in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1980. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, in 2005, where she subsequently completed her postgraduate training in neuroscience, specialization in neurology, and PhD studies. Since 2013, she has worked as a neurologist at the Neurology Clinic, University Clinical Centre of Serbia, with a particular focus on neurodegenerative disorders, memory disorders, and dementia. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
Her international training includes a fellowship in dementia at the Alzheimer Center, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, under the supervision of Prof. Philip Scheltens, and advanced training in MRI post-processing techniques in neurodegenerative disorders at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, under the supervision of Prof. Massimo Filippi. Her research interests focus on cognitive impairment, dementia, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuroimaging. She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in the field of neurology and neurodegenerative disorders. She received the Award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia for the best doctoral dissertation in 2018/2019.
