Haşmet Hanağası

Dr. Haşmet Ayhan Hanağası was born in 1968 in the Sapanca district of Sakarya, Turkey. He completed his residency training at the Department of Neurology, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, in 1998, having started in 1993. In the same year, he worked as a research fellow at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Unit of Queen Square Hospital in London.
Since 1999, he has been working in the Behavioral Neurology and Movement Disorders Unit of the Department of Neurology at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Hanağası has authored over 250 scientific articles, 200 of which have been published in international journals, and has contributed to 40 book chapters, including 11 in international publications. His scientific work has received more than 6,000 citations to date.
Dr. Hanağası has served as the President of the Alzheimer’s Association of Turkey and as a board member of the Parkinson’s Disease Association of Turkey. He has participated in numerous international clinical studies throughout his career.
