Raif Çakmur

He is currently a Professor of Neurology at Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, where he also serves as the Director of the Movement Disorders Unit. His research interests include Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, dementia, botulinum toxin applications, and transcranial magnetic stimulation. He has served as a principal investigator in several international multicenter clinical trials in the field of movement disorders. He also collaborates on research with the Departments of Biophysics and Radiology. He is a member of the Turkish Parkinson’s Disease Society, the Turkish Neurological Society, the Turkish EEG-EMG Clinical Neurophysiology Society, and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
